'm still learning about using Salicylic peels for my own personal use, but I have to say, using the Dr. Song 20% Salicylic Acid Gel Peel has not been disappointing. While the bottle seems small, you surprisingly get about 15-20 full facial peels out of each one and it's made of Pharmaceutical Grade Salicylic Acid. The list of ingredients include: Salicylic Acid, SD40 alcohol, purified water, and propylene glycol. Upon using the product to try and clear up some acne, I discovered the peel doesn't happen immediately. For me, the peeling started to occur the next day, but for each person this is dependent on the duration of application. I had left mine site for about 2-3 minutes as I didn't want to risk leaving it on too long. Based on results achieved and your skins response you maybe able to apply peel for a longer time and this will increase peeling. During the use I noticed nothing harsh, no burning, no pain. In fact, you wouldn't even really know it's there or working to be honest. When they say peel, it's not painful - it's just taking off the top dead layer of skin. Overall I'm liking the results and what this product does. Best of all, my face is getting cleared up. It doesn't happen over night for it to be all cleared up, but it starts the process overnight. So far, so good for me!
